WANTED - PRAYER GROUP MEMBERS Why an Online prayer group you might ask - can you imagine the numbers of people that could become involved and united together in praying for Revival? The idea is that we will show God that we really mean business by joining together with others of like mind and crying out for revival. Revival begins with you and me, and is possible anytime and anywhere, when Gods requirements are met. It is not the length of the prayer vigils but the state of the praying heart that is important. Membership conditions: Commitment: a passion for Revival and a willingness, to plead with God for Revival - until He opens the Heavens and comes down! Obedience: A desire to live in accordance with the Word of God. Faith is belief in Action! God requires that we get back to doing things His way. 'If my people will humble themselves and pray, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear their prayers and heal their land.' Persistence: The power of God comes through protracted prayer: persuasive, prevailing prayer moves the hand of The One who changes things! How do we pray? The mightiest petitions are those filled with words from Gods Word. We can cry out with Isaiah: 'Come down, Lord!' David cried out: 'It is time for thee, Lord, to work; for they have made void thy law.' Habakkuk also: 'Revive thy work in the midst of the years.' You can use these words to plead with God for the glory and honour of His Name. Christ taught much about prayer and if Christ needed to pray, then how much more we need to pray. Jesus emphasises the importance of prayer in the Sermon on the Mount. John Wesley said, 'God does nothing but by prayer and everything with it.' All the great revivals recorded throughout history; were preceded by praying men and women. Prayer is the preparation for revival. Every movement of the Spirit can be traced to a bent figure. No matter what our circumstances, age or state of health, we can all become prayer warriors. Prayer changes things: persistent, heart-broken, prevailing, believing prayer makes revival always possible. Prayer changes lives! Prayer changes circumstances! Prayer is effective: Christians must be unrelenting in prayer commitments. When Christians pray together and work and co-operate together, everything become possible. Prayer is essential: God answers prayer: Prayer moves the hand that moves the world! Take the purpose of the prayer group seriously and don't allow yourselves to become side tracked by other issues. The state of our prayer life reveals whether our walk with the Lord is genuine or superficial. The basis of prayer is a right relationship with God. God is Holy and cannot look upon sin and if there is un-repented sin in our life, 'He will turn his face away and not hear our prayers.' There is no shortcut to revival but we can be in a right condition to receive it. The position - is prayer! Revival reveals the glory of the presence of God. The power of God is seen when Gods Spirit moves and works among His people. And when revival occurs, the nation will know and nobody will question if there is a God, or who He is!
