'Break Up Your Fallow Ground' - Meeting God's requirements
for Revival
Revival
can happen anywhere and anytime Gods conditions in Scripture, are
met. Yet we The Church of Jesus Christ appear to be making little
impact upon the society of today. We don't need to look far for
the reasons.
The one thing we can be certain of is that the problem is not with
God. Isaiah 59:1-2 says; 'Surely the arm of the Lord is not too
short to save, or his ear too dull to hear. But your iniquities
have separated you from your God: your sins have hidden His face
from you, so that He will not hear.'
It is time we stopped blaming God and took an honest look at our
self. Each of us has to be big enough to acknowledge our role and
responsibility in the decline of His Church.
We know that revival is not a regular occurrence but it is exciting
to note from history, that each of the revivals recorded in the
Old Testament has happened in a time of moral and spiritual darkness.
All were marked by a return to the worship of God!
Revival grows out of knowledge of the times.
If we want to see Revival, the Church of Jesus Christ must get back
to doing things Gods way.
The Church of the New Testament was dynamic and effective.
God used ordinary men and women like you and me, and turned the
world upside down. There was a power that moved through the body
and life of the Church. It caused them to see things happen, and
brought new life to the multitudes.
He is the same yesterday, today and forever.
The good news of the gospel never changes; there is forgiveness,
cleansing and deliverance for ALL who cry out to God for help.
His love and grace knows no bounds and is big enough to cover all
the sins of every Sinner in the world. There is power in the message
of the cross.
Take a good look around you. I truly believe it is time for God
to work.
Every Pastor ought to be pleading with God with revival. We cannot
force God to pour out His Spirit but we can get into a position
to receive!
Revival begins with us. Let us show God we mean business.
You have only to look through your Bible to see the people who did
real business with God, were those who truly longed and cried out
to God in anguish. The Psalmist springs readily to mind; 'my soul
pants after Thee' and 'my soul thirsts for God.'
God needs ordinary men and women like you and me to build His kingdom
here on earth, and He wants us to be effective in that work. God's
Word points out that there are certain conditions that will provide
a fertile garden for revival and tells us how this can be achieved.
