God's Word Provides Everything Necessary

The Word of God is intended by the Lord to meet my deepest needs. We are told that because the law (Word) is perfect, it is able to revive my soul. My soul is in need of revival, how about yours? The daily grind has a tendency to wear us down, not only physically, but spiritualy as well. At times we can feel so weak that we are not even sure we can pray or do those things Gods asks of us. We can only find revival power within God's perfect Word. Daily time reading the Bible is not only a good thing to do, it is essential if our soul is to be revived and filled with life and joy. Daily readings of Gods Word allows the Holy Spirit to bring life from the dead as the Word of God is breathed into us.

The Psalmist David shows us that because the statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, they can bring wisdom to the simple. It seems for me that every day brings some issue that is beyond my own ability to understand or handle. Does this happen to you too? I can find myself in a desperate need of wisdom. Wisdom is putting into practise what we have learned, and it should always come from God's perspective! Wisdom is available from the pages of the Word of God and should be taken and applied into each and every situation.

The precepts of the Lord are right, and because of that we are able to have a joyful heart and here I want to say that we are not expected to walk around with big smiles on our faces all the time. Inner joy comes from the knowledge and assurance of our true position in Christ.

If the joy of the Lord is our strength, then it is also obvious that joy can be taken from us and Satan will do anything he can to take away our joy. Spending time with Gods Word can restore our joy. Our eyes need light in order to see. God's radiant Word provides that light to see the path before us. Ultimately we are talking about the Bible providing direction and vision for our life.

It is so difficult to move unless you know where you are going or what step to take next. Abraham left Ur of the Chaldees, not knowing where he was going, only knowing that God had told him to go.

Gods Word gives us the light to move in the right direction. So what we need today is, revival, wisdom, joy and direction, all of which is available to those who will spend time in God's Word. The Lord desires to meet your deepest needs and has provided everything necessary for life and for godliness. 2 Peter 1:3
